What are your best suggestions for good books?

I love literature and reading, I love the English language, but I no idea what books to read. At the moment I read mainly non-Christian fiction, but I studied English at university and loved Thomas Hardy. I just go to the library / bookstore and have no idea where to start ….! AII I know I really do not like trashy novels! At the other end – I do not think I want something too high (although I might be?) OK, I'll stop hiking and we thank you in advance for your kind suggestions. B-)

I always go to an online Christian book seller that a synopsis of books and also a member critics or readers. It helps me find what would be good to read. I only read Christian books in any genre, fiction or non-fiction, so if it is "secular" I have no answer. Spend time researching "inspirational" or "Christian" fiction on your site local library. It is also an excellent resource. The author has my entire family (over the age of 14 years) loves Ted Dekker as a writer. He has several series, and they are all excellent. Our favorites are black, red, white and books (apart). Other authors, who are easier or more "light" reading, but the suspense is Dee Henderson and Terri Blackstock. Hope this helped.
