Great Books Program Chicago
Art School Grad?

I was wondering what my chances of getting into a graduate school good for painting (also some illustration, I want to do children's books) I'm from Arkansas, senior finishing a degree in fine arts, and I have a 3.75. I won several prizes and received awards for KCAI MCA and when I asked the undergraduate schools (but I could not afford to live out of state at the time) I also run arts programs AT Inc. and Girl's Hospice. I was not really looking to go to a school like the RISD snotty, but more University of Georgia, Cal State-Fullerton, Indiana, or Seattle. (or if I had to choose a school brat, I would not mind going to Art Institute of Chicago) anyhoo, I was just missing a few tips on how to enter a graduate school and some major steps i should take to help my chances. I intend to make at least a year off to get money from that my parents are not rich. Thank Ya!

Sounds like you've put some fairly large databases. I assure you to have a good portfolio and maintain day while you take time off from school. I do not think you have any problems in any school you choose. Congratulations and good luck!
