Books Writing Fiction
A writer of fiction is simply a person who makes up stories. He or she is just a human being quite normal to be who discovered they can put stories on paper that other people are really interested, excited and entertained. Who becomes a writer? In the 20th and 21st centuries, almost everyone who has finally become a successful writer of fiction started in another job, such as a teacher, a doctor or another. The reason is clear. You can not "get a job" as a writer.
Think about my style, stories of young adults – Or some might call them "stories for children." In fact, there is no such thing as a "fairy tale." Alice in Wonders, David Copperfield, Oliver Twist (by Charles Dickens), Treasure Island (by Robert Louis Stevenson), Kim (Kipling) and many, many others are people between 5 and 122 years. So, what I write is about not knowing how to write a book for children or young adults, or whatever, but only on the nature writing, as far as I understand it. My own books are designed as entertainment for people of all ages, at least for all those who have not forgotten what it means to be a child and live in a world of adventure and excitement.
There is no recipe for writing self. But here are some of my ideas and suggestions:
Suggestion 1. You need a vivid imagination. Almost everyone did.
Suggestion 2. A scene has come alive to the reader. It does or it does not. If not, cancel it until it is and be very critical on this point.
Suggestion 3. You need endurance. We must stick to the hour after hour, week after week, month after month. Like most things, it is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration. In fact, I do not exactly sweating 95%. Writers want others to believe they suffer! I think it's really fun, Great – fun for me anyway. I would not do otherwise. But you do need self-discipline. There is no boss standing over you and you will not get the sack if the work is not completed that day.
Suggestion 4. You must be a perfectionist. We must go again and again what you wrote, read many times, change and change again and never be completely satisfied. There are 430,000 words in the English language and you may not have always chosen the right one in each case.
Suggestion 5. You need a sense of humor and irony, like Roald Dahl, for example. Anyway, to appeal to the child in the adult and for all young people, it is essential to make people laugh or at least laugh a gurgle.
Suggestion 6. You must be your own strong criticism. If an author feels that or she wrote a passage that is wonderful, while the writer goes to problems. Do not count on your family for their verdict: when you read your stuff to them, they will love it because it is through you, as you love your children the art school. Some wives or husband may have some exceptions (like my wife) but most probably be careful not to risk it.
